Hero is bringing its new electric scooter Vida V1 to the Indian market, it will run for 165 km on a single charge

India’s most selling two wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp finally launched its first electric vehicle under the brand name VIDA. Recently Hero launched two electric scooters Vida V1 pro and Vida V1 pro.

Vida V1 Design Features

In trams of look and design, both scooters are the same, basically, it has two different variants like Ola S1 and S1 pro. Vida V1 comes with an attractive traditional look, it has a beautifully designed led headlight with the led drl in the front. The Vida V1 has a twin-shock suspension in the front and single-shock suspension at the rear. It gets 90/90 12 inch alloy wheels for both ends,  from the side the Vida V1 looks unique, it has a dual-tone body panel which makes it different from the other electric scooter available on the Indian market these days.

Talking about the under-seat storage of Vida V1, it has 26 letters of storage under the seat where you can put your face helmet. The Vida V1 also has some kind of back seat option where you can remove the pillion seat and you can be customized it as per your needs. The tail session is also beautifully designed; it has a led taillight matched with the front headlamp which gives it a very premium look. Like the other premium electric scooter, Hero Vida V1 comes with a seven-inch TFT touchscreen and is fairly responsive and quite bright. It has all kinds of controls like strat stop, modes, maps and many more which you can expect. 

Vida V1 Motor and Battery

The Hero Vida V1 Pro and V1 Plus are powered by a hub-mounted motor, which produces 8 BHP peak power from the motor and you’ll get about 5.2 BHP continuous power in both variants. The difference between the 2 is only the battery.

The Vida V1 pro comes with 3.9kwh and the V1 plus has a 3.4 kWh removable battery, there are two battery packs for each scooter, after combining both, it becomes 3.9 and 3.4 kWh. talking about how quick is this scooter, the Vida V1 pro takes 3.2 seconds for 0-40  while the plus does it in 3.4 seconds. The top speed of both Vida V1 pro and Vida V1 plus is 80 kilometres per hour. The range of Hero Vida V1 pro and Vida V1 plus is also different,  the V1 pro offers 165 kilometres range while the plus has 143 kilometres on a single full charge, which is very impressive and pretty good for city use or daily office commute. It means if you daily run about 100 kilometres you can do that on both scooters.


Vida V1 Charging and Ride modes

The Hero Vida V1 comes with two battery packs and gets a 1 kW portable charger with it; you can charge on standard 5A socket boards. 0-80% in less than 6 hours or you can remove the battery and charge the battery at home with a charger,  if don’t want to do this, there is no problem here you have this option, you can charge it at home or else VIDA is developing a charging infra in which there will be charging points which will support two DC and one AC charge, that takes you from 0 to 80% in just 65 mins.

Talking about the ride mode of Vida V1 plus has 3 ride modes which are eco, ride and sports whereas the Vida V1 pro comes with eco, ride, sports and Custom modes. The seat height of Vida V1 is 780 mm which means if you are 5,4” or more you can comfortably ride this scooter. Vida V1 comes with a 90/90 12-inch MRF tire which is ideal for day-to-day city rides and dule Bybre disc brake will give you enough stopping power for the city ride.

Vida V1 Price and Warranty

The Hero Vida V1 comes in two variants, the price of the Vida V1 Plus is Rs 1,45,000 ex-showroom and the Vida V1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,59,000. Hero Vida gives you five years or 50,000 kilometres warranty for the scooter and the battery.

The more important is Hero is the first time ever offering a buyback assurance for three years and or up to 30000 kilometres, that means is that if the vehicle is around 16 to 18 months old you can get back almost 70 percent of its price and it also offers repair on site so if it breaks down or if any problem happens help is on the way and they’ll fix it right then. The Hero Vida V1 will be available in different patches; the first phase will only be available in Jaipur, Delhi and Bangalore and the deliveries will start around the second week of December.
