The Yamaha FZ-X is the retro scrambler coming from the house Yamaha. The Yamaha FZ-X is a neo-retro scrambler motorcycle. yamaha’s surprise launch while all of us kept expecting the xsr 155.

Yamaha FZ-X design and specification
When I first saw the pics online at the launch event of the new FZ-X the bike looked a bit confused but in reality, it doesn’t feel all that bad at all. In terms of build quality, it promises quite a lot more. The Yamaha FZ-X comes with three colour options which are matte copper, metallic blue and my favourite matte black.

The bike has generous use of metal all around instead of plastic, like the retro sports classic looking fuel tank front fender and the besh plate are all made of metal. in the front FZ-X has a very unique looking round bi-functional led headlamp setup, it has one led bulb in the centre for a high beam as well as a low beam also the round led DRL does add a distinguished touch. The tail lamp Yamaha say was an inspiration from the rx100 and it does look as such.
Yamaha FZ-X Engine performance
The Yamaha FZ-X is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected, SOHC 149cc engine and the engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox. This 149cc engine produces 12.4 Ps of max power at 7250rpm and 13.3nm of max torque at 5500rpm.

The bottom and torque are good with good pick-up right off the mark also the mid-range punch is good with the bike effortlessly reaching 100km per hour and with the top speed of Yamaha FZ-X, you can go up to 120 kilometres per hour. Yamaha FZ-X comes with blue core technology which optimizes combustion efficiency. This bike comes with 10 litres of a fuel tank, talking about the mileage, there is no claim as such but you can expect the same mileage as that of the FZ-X which is around 45 to 48 kmpl depending upon your riding style. Yamaha FZ-X gets a 282 mm disc in the front and a 220 mm rear disc and for safety FZ-X comes with single-channel abs as standard.

Yamaha Fzx price
The price of the Yamaha FZ-X is rupees 132900 ex-showroom in Delhi. Yamaha FZ-X is available with 3 colour options which are MATTE COPPER, MATTE BLACK and METALLIC BLUE. The Yamaha FZ-X is will be a good city bike that you can use for day-to-day commutes and as Yamaha say FZ-X is kind of a different style a different theme that they are offering with the same FZ power plant and it has the only rival in the 150cc segment which is the bajaj avenger street 160.
